LOCAL PRESCHOOL CELEBRATES 16 YEARS

OF QUALITY CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

DAYTON-First United Methodist Dayton Pre-School will celebrate its 15 years of service to the community this school year.

Dayton Pre-School, a ministry of First United Methodist Church, is a licensed daycare offering a quality Christian atmosphere where the focus is on the child's language, intellectual, social, and motor skills while fostering independence.

Dayton Pre-School offers children ages three to five years of age a variety of activities such as chapel, music, art and crafts, classroom learning, story time, circle time, recess, play activities, and nap time. Some special activities during the school year have included a visit to the local fire department, trips to the park, local bakery and creamery.

Registration will be held on Thursday and Friday, August I I and 12 from 2-5 p.m. EST both days. School begins Monday, August 15 from 8:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. EST. The preschool is located at 103 5 Market Street, next door to the church.

Enrollment Fees are as follows:

$20.00 Registration

$70.00 School supplies

$75.00 Weekly (5 days)

The school's philosophy is that the preschool years should be rich and happy ones. The focus is on creating a Christian atmosphere in which children are accepted and loved for who they are. Parents are encouraged to be a part of their child's school experience, participating as their time and interest allows.

Mrs. Cindy Wooden, Director, is committed to working with parents to meet the needs of their children. Under her directorship the school has seen many improvements. Currently workers are busy updating and improving the school's playground area.
